The island is famous for its mild climate all year round, allowing you to enjoy a number of beaches, some more familiar, some more tranquil, or even the most cosmopolitan.

Also noteworthy is the panoply of restaurants that serve the island, with a vast cuisine, typical dishes and seafood. During the day, take the opportunity to enjoy the beaches or the commercial offer of the island, with very attractive prices. At night, don't miss the great variety of nightlife spaces. Gran Canaria is synonymous with fun.
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the capital of the island. Here you will find beautiful golden sandy beaches with very calm waters and a beautiful city to discover, shop, rest on a esplanade or visit monuments and museums.
If you are interested in culture then you must visit Casa de Colon, a museum that was once home to Christopher Columbus when he passed through the island. Located in the historic centre of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, it has several exhibition rooms dedicated to the history of the Canary Islands and its relationship with America.
The Canary Museum, located inside the historical center of Vegueta, where a visit to the beautiful streets of this neighborhood is recommended. This museum, founded at the end of the 19th century, contains a large collection on the history of the entire archipelago. Its collection of mummies and aborigines is one of the most photographed and the Elder Museum, where visitors can take pictures in the cabin of a fighter plane, one of the most visited. A 3D cinema room and a modern greenhouse complete the experience. This museum focuses on interactivity and different experiences.
Discover also the Archaeological Park and the Cueva Pintada Museum and the Atlantic Centre of Modern Art.
If you prefer contact with nature, you can opt for hiking, especially the trail that leads to the base of Roque Nublo, symbol of Gran Canaria and which is located in one of the highest points of the island. In the north, discover Teror, a village of colonial buildings, where you can visit the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pino, from the 18th century, and where every year on September 8th the Fiesta de la Virgen del Pino is celebrated.
